Working with acclaimed winemaker Chad Alexander; Viticulturist and founder of Coastal Viticultural Consultants (CVC) Bryan Rahn; and Viticulturist Michael Princevalle, we’ve assembled an award-winning team to create our wines. With a vision of producing the highest-quality Cabernet Sauvignon, we’ve ensured that every step of the process is handled with meticulous care and no detail has been overlooked. We started with the best clones and rootstock suited to the terrain and climate, and implemented a “V” trellis system to ensure speckled light on the fruit.
Every year we hand harvest by block based on fruit maturity. We crush the whole berry, and perform frequent pumpovers to ensure optimal richness of color and complexity of flavor. The wine is then casked for 20-24 months in the finest French Oak barrels available. After aging and prior to bottling, the different lots of wine (clones) are blended to create a more complex wine that represents the terroir of the Lencioni Vineyard and the unique Mia Nipote taste.
